This masterful powerhouse produces 355 HP and up to 383 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated to a smart and seamless 10-speed automatic transmission. Enhanced by direct injection and variable valve timing, the 5.3L V8 delivers an impressive 15/20 (City/Hwy) MPG.
For more power and performance, the Yukon Denali and Denali Ultimate come standard with the blistering 6.2L V8 engine. This engine is also available on the AT4. It produces up to 420 HP and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. It's also mated to the intelligent 10-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel Engine is the perfect engine for drivers who value more efficiency without sacrificing performance. Available on the SLE, SLT, Denali, and Denali Ultimate, the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine produces up to 277 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. Most importantly, this engine can travel up to 756 miles on a full tank in the Yukon XL.
In addition to staggering under-the-hood performance, the Yukon makes traversing difficult terrain easy with the available Active Response 4WD system. This system empowers you to confidently maneuver on off-road or slick road conditions by channeling the optimal torque to the wheels that need it the most, while the 2-Speed AutoTrac Transfer case lets you confidently switch in and out of the four-wheel drive. As you're traveling over difficult terrain, the Traction Select System allows you to switch between Off-Road, Sport Mode, or Tow/Haul Mode to optimize traction control settings, powertrain calibrations, and stability control calibrations. And when you're towing heavy loads, the Max Trailering Package ensures you enjoy a max towing capacity of 8,400 lbs and includes an enhanced cooling radiator.
